Last Sunday (not the one that just passed but the one before that) I started taking my Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control pills. But I accidentally popped out the blue pill for this week and put it in my mouth w/some juice and then I realized that I had the wrong pill so I spit it out and now I'm missing a pill for this Friday. I was going to take the Saturday pill for the Friday pill but I will be left without a Saturday pill. I tried to fill my prescription for them and my insurance don't cover them so I have to pay $54.95 and I refuse to pay that so ... what can I do about the pill? Can I skip that one pill and continue taking them for this month at least? What should I do?

Its ok. Just take the correct pill. The blue ones are just sugar pills. They are fake for your period week.

Skip the day...it won't effect the cycle due to the fact that your pill does not go into effect until you complete the first month so be aware that you still need to be using protection because you can still become pregnant. Just next mo9nth when you get a new pack be more careful and if you miss a pill that month just take two on the next day never more then two though.

I would continue to take all your blue pills and miss the day closest to your period, or the white pills. So take all of the blue pills til you get to the white ones...then miss one day...and then take the first white pill the next day. That way the break that you have will be on your period so you will be less likely to have that risk of not being protected. It doesn't hurt to miss one day just as long as you do plan on continuing your pills

Just continue taking the pills. Don't worry about that one pill. Take the Sat. pill for the Friday pill. I've done something like this before and it was completely fine for me.

Your two choices are to just continue taking one pill a day or to skip a day. If you continue to take one pill every day, I think you will still be covered bc-wise. Skipping a day means you will need to use condoms for a while.

you're going to have to skip that pill. just use a backup birth control in the meantime (a condom) until you start on your new pack and have gone one full month with no missed pills. mistakes happen.

if i were you, i would have saved the spit-out pill and dried it and kept it until it was time to take it. try not to let this happen again!

Keep taking the pills. The last few pills should be sugar pills anyway, so it doesn't matter if you miss one in the end.

The cash cost for generic OTC is about $30.
You can skip the pill and be fine.

for starters you shouldnt have spit it out. you should have just ate it.. but continue taking the pills normally and just use protection during sex for the remainder of the month. if you just stop taking them then you will have to start the hormoine cycles all over again. so keep taking them but use protection

Skip it. But use protection whenever you have sex.
