I have a large 3 foot by 5 foot flag that i want to fly from my truck how would i be able to accompish this with doing any cosmetic damage to my truck i have a trailer hitch if that would help. Also What kind of flag pole should i get for this

Also i just want to do it for one day leaving school me and a group of friends are going to do it. So really i will only hit about 30 mles and hour while flying it.

With or without a cap?
Trailer hitch isn't such a good idea.
Preferred would be to put your pole in one of the stake holes near the cab. It can be braced with a wedge, or a rubber tiedown.
What I used for a pole was a piece of 3/4" aluminum pipe.
the flag was held to the pole with 1/4-20 SS bolts, washers, and locknuts. This was mounted on my motorcycle. For your truck, make sure that the overall height is less than 13' 6". That's where most bridges are.
Use a printed flag instead of a sewn one. Double or triple stitch the outer edge. Put a couple more on the fly end.
Do not fly your flag on the highway! Even with major reinforcment, it WILL shred.
