Yep, all the time when I was young and growing up on a farm. Used a grease pen to write on them after they were washed.

no but I pick up a chicken snake in the chicken nest that I thought was a piece of cloth and I grabbed it pulled it out and it was a 3 ft chicken snake....yeeeeeeooooooow

We had chickens when I was real young, not later on (I don't remember why), so I don't remember much about it.
