I think if you have the following; Salt, Pepper, Laureys Garlic Powder, Cinnamon, Parsley, Paprika, Nutmeg, Beef and Chicken Bullion powder and also onions, you can make very tasty meals.

My spice rack is full of spices I have tried but I really don't like my food too spiced up.

The shelf life of spices are about 2 years.

Spices also can have tiny worms in them.

If you have had a spice for a long time, check it.

Nutmeg.
Since it's the Christmas Season, I thought this would be an appropriate answer.
Nutmeg can be used for all sorts of things such as emphasizing taste for deserts (Christmas cookies) and drinks (eggnog).
I think my favorite spice comes down to nutmeg because it brings out the Christmas Spirit in the food.

Honey Pot--you have never experienced the result of a spice till you visit the island of Grenada in the Caribbean. the whole island smells nutmeg--24 hours a day and when your sleeping you will eventually wake up looking for your partner--if you don't have one--you will go looking for one--That stuff is "magic miracle spice"--forget Viagra or anything else--take a trip to Grenada--I visited for a day and stayed three weeks. good luck

I have seasonal spices and days. Bergamot tops my list in teas and perfumes.

It's my fave, of all time. Clove is a close second. The two combined are magic.
