In the real world, the good guys expend 209.000 rounds of ammunition for every enemy combatant killed. We could probably build a new home and stock the refrigerator for less than we expend to end their lives. There is way too much adrenolin flowing in these situations for cold, steel eyed marksmanship to be a factor. Oh yeah, they don't miss everything! Something is going to stop the bullets!

But Bruce Willis can shoot a power line & down a helicopter with a .38 snub ?

I never got that either.

It's in the script.

If it wasn't in the script, the movie would be 10 minutes long.

That 10 minutes includes all the car chases, flip-overs, and ultimate betrayal by 12 best friends.

I've wondered the same D*** thing-they'll have a 6-shooter and shoot 15 times. I don't get that either.Never stop to reload.
I have to disagree with it being the bad guys, it's usually the Cops!

At the risk of stating the obvious, the bad guys are lousy shots. Now Jack Bauer, he NEVER misses. Well, hardly ever.

They are suffering from the toxic rays of a substance called "Scriptonite," which is standard equipment for heroes.

That's why they can hit stuff when the heroes, or other important characters aren't onscreen.

Good Q! It wouldn't be much of a show if the stars weren't there anymore though huh?

because if they don't miss, the hero would die and the credits would roll after 10 minutes and people would want their money back

well the good guys are usually cops and they're trained to shoot so they just make the bad guys look really bad by comparison.
