yes the book is not banned in the United states TODAY but it WAS banned a few years back

the censorship board is probably all from Yahoo ... they seem to ban or censor anything that suits their fancy ... I'm sure this will earn me another violation ... siiiiigh

it wasnt banned at my school i just had to read it for summer reading but if i had to guess i'd say some peopel might think it makes fun of mentally handicapped people?
