Where is "Hat Town". It is a city in Kansas, is all I know...?

I hear it alllll the time and I'm not sure what city it is referring to. I just moved to Manhattan, KS like 4 months ago, and first I was thinking it meant Manhattan, but I'm not sure now....

Man - hattan="hat town". Kansas speak I guess.
