Wait four years. While I agree with you to an extent, I can understand where your parents are coming from. You're 14, I'm sure you've seen thing worse than Halo 3. Still, your parents have your best interest at heart. Xbox Live involves A LOT of swearing a racial slurs. I'm sure they know that you know all the cool swear words and insults that today's kids are using (your parents were teenagers once too), and they probably know there's not much they can do to shelter you from that. On the other hand, they don't want to be responsible for exposing you to that type of behaviour. Luckily when I was your age I could buy a mature rated game because nobody cared 10 years ago, but I know damn well if I had to ask my parents to buy it for me they would say no. Again, it's probably not your parents trying to be mean to you or punish you in some way, but more they are just looking out for you and they don't want to subject you to that sort of violence and language. Just please do me a favour and don't turn into one of those teen angst emo kids who thinks everyone hates him and nobody understands him. No one likes emo kids. =)

well, some parents are extremely difficult to show that you are responsible. You could throw up an argument about mature movies, with killing and blood, if you do and can watch them. Also, you could promise other things, but im just not sure what their main argument is with you playing Halo 3. Halo 3 is only mature for the killing, nothing sexual about it, so if you have ever played killing games before, then dont be afraid to drag up the past :D

That kind of stuff would mess up your mind, that's why they won't let you play. The game companies don't care any more about your life than Mc Donalds cares about your health. Hence, Junk food and or Junk Videos for you! They are very appealing to your 14 year old mind but to minds with more wisdom they're poison. Listen buddy!

while i replaced into 9 I used to play laptop video games each and all of the time, and that they have got been rubbish then.. i can not think of what number hours i might have spent holed up in my room if MW3, with the capacity to speak on your friends on line, had existed interior the 80's.. It wore off while i replaced into approximately 14 and got here upon females. i does no longer hardship approximately it to lots; he's 9, if it wasn't laptop video games he might in all risk be compulsively watching cartoons or reading comedian books, the two one in each of which by the shape have been held to be addictive and detrimental interior the previous. How might you experience in the adventure that your brother replaced into insisting on changing your way of existence? possibly you ought to attempt and do some thing with him, take him bowling or some thing. in case you like him to get out and do assets you will in all risk ought to furnish him a greater exciting selection to the laptop, in case you complication him he purely won't pay attention to you.

Oh well, there's nothing you can do. They're your parents. Their word is the final word. The only thing you can do is ask them if they're willing to rent and play the game themselves so they can tell if it's OK for you.
Halo isn't that good anyway.

Respect their decision for you, and find another game to play.
When you're 30 with kids of your own, you'll look back and think what great parents they were! This sounds stupid, and I know it's not what you want to hear right now, but it's so TRUE! You'll see :)

You should out think them in anyway possible to get the game. If it turns out your parents are mostly the teach and no play kind of parents... tough luck.
