I am currently attending Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, CA and will be transferring to UC San Francisco Pharmacy School. What major should i declare now? Thank You.

UCSF requires a bachelors, and you can't get a bachelors at that school. Standard majors include biology, chemistry, and biochemistry.

I would be sure to talk to a counselor at your school. Every school is slightly different in the way they handle this. You should have a choice; some schools offer a pre-pharmacy degree, others will have you declare chemistry as a major or some type of other science. Pharmacy school is tough and requires a love of chemistry. Good Luck.

Well when I was going to do my Pharmacy degree I was planning on majoring in Chemistry. I've heard that Chemistry does help when going into Pharmacy school. I'm not in the pharmacy field anymore, I do have my tech degree but as far as what I've been told Chemistry is a good one.
