Can you be arrested for being a racist, in Canada? I was wondering if a white person said n*g*a to a black person, could that black person tell the police and get the white person jailed, in Canada?

Freedom of speech. If someone gets locked up for using that word, what other words become worthy of doing time?

I would rather live in a world where someone can say whatever the hell they want to, and people have enough sense to ignore them because they are stupid. Than live in a world where the law will arrest you for using a word that some find offensive (espicially when it is not offensive when others say the same thing).

Yes you could be arrested. Believe it or not you can be arrested in Arkansas for saying the N word if it makes the person on the recieving end want to fight. In our state you can be arrested for using "fighting words". Isn't that f**king silly.

I don't know, but that's scary. I don't like that word, but I don't think ANY word should be made illegal. I mean, if you can arrest someone for saying "Hey n*****!", can you then arrest someone who says "Hey *******!" or something? What about the black people who use "n******" as a friendly term?

Yes it is true. It is called "enciting". For the person saying that it is ******* stupid, consider this: A white person calls a Black person ******. The Black person kills the person. The word ****** IS THE ONLY ONE STILL IN AMERICAN LAW TRIBUNALS that is considered a "fighting word" and the murder WILL NOT be punished.
