Water, the main component of nearly all foodstuffs. Sucrose (sugar); fructose in corn syrup and honey (and fruit), starch, cellulose.

Proteins are too complicated to be helpfully expressed by any single formula. fats and oils are triglycerides, esters of glycerol and fatty acids.

Additives and preservatives, usually listed by name on the packet. (And a good thing too that they're there). Dyes and flavorings, often listed by a code name or E-number (not so good).
