Do i need any special software or anything? I was told i need my PSP 'flashing'?

That really depends on the type of game you are looking for.
- 1. Homebrew - Requires hacking the PSP. There are certain limitations based on hardware and a certain level of risk of breaking your hardware. I would recommend http://www.noobz.eu/ for detailed info and forums.
- 2. Demos - These are official demos (not on the official sony site) that you can find at various sites like http://www.pspdemocenter.com or htt://www.pspimages.net or http://demos.pspfanboy.com
- 3. Flash games - PSP browser based games that you can play online or download to your PSP - http://www.psponme.com
4. Then there is the new Official Sony Playstation Store. You can download full version games for a low price and some free Demos that you won't find anywhere else http://store.playstation.com
5. And there there are ISOs that are basically hacked/cracked full version games. You can probably start by looking at the noobz.eu site along with Homebrew.

U need pandora battery, 3.52m33 firmware and a lot of paitence. Search google for dark alex. He writes the custom firmware (think it's darkalex.org). There are trusted people on some of the forums there wh will do it for you fo FREE if u send yur PSP (youcan trust the ones that are recommended, they are genuine).

3.52M33 IS NOT SUPPORTED ON THE SLIM!!!!! if you try to do it, you will brick your psp beyond repair.
you need a pandora battery and magic memory stick to install custom firmware on the psp. flashing could mean a number of things so i dont want to get into it.
follow the guide i made. there are full pictures, files, and tutorials.
