Why are so many nasty people going around giving everyone the thumbs down
I asked that an hour ago and there was more thumbs down than up please tell me why some sad little people are so stupid and lets see how many thumbs up we can give
if you give a thumbs down please leave a reason

I can't fathom it out either. If we ignore them long enough they'll get fed up and go play elsewhere hopefully xxx

They do it just because they can. We can't backtrack their movements so they can do whatever they want without being reported.
My suggestion for Yahoo is that they create a program which registers every thumbs down given, and when they notice one account is giving out a too many thumbs down, to send them a message asking why it is. If not replied, to suspend that account.
Or, when you have a stalker giving you thumbs down, to alter that same program to register how many thumbs down an account gives to a certain other account, and if this amount reaches a certain percentage, to do the same thing; send a message asking why and when there is no reply, suspend the account.
Freedom of opinion is nice, but taking advantage of that freedom isn't.

I only give a thumbs down if the answer is totally stupid, aggressive or abusive in some way. I love a sense of humour but some people's answers are simply not cerebrally fed. But to define the serial 'thumbs downer' ... I think we are talking about people who gain pleasure from their small way of getting back at people, knocking down the sensible and well informed. That's life I'm afraid .... simple little knockers who wield the power of ticking the box!

sometimes people can just give them for no reason and its sad. I think its sad when people report people to for no valid reason also, its nice to have a healthy debate and forget it, the whole point is so people can express their opinions, and it should be left at that or it would be boring, but people get annoyed and report, you should only do that if its really really really bad and abusive. Stop giving thumbs down nasties

People are juvenile. Your answer challenged their lack of intellect, or they just get some cheap thrill out of it. Who knows?
So rather than keep their limp, little heads down they use their thumbs. As far as I am concerned they can stick their thumbs in their butt and wiggle it around a bit.
You could say, "Most cars have steering wheels, and they would still do it. So I wouldn't try to figure them out. You might as well pound your head on a wall.
Watch... this will get some thumbs down! LOL

They are Morons, you give an honest answer and the tinpot censor brigade think for some reason their sad pathetic lives will be enriched if they thumb you down. Its just best to ignore it and they will go and bother someone else/ crawl in a very deep hole never to be seen again. Maybe they just cant read and its down to fustration lol

I have two overly simplistic answers. 1) They just made it to level two, and the power of the thumb went to their heads. or...2)Their parents grounded them, and their only way to lash out is to wield their pitiful thumb on Y/A. Just a couple of guesses.

I rarely give an up or down as you can tell by my earlier question, trying to revers a thumb dumb placement. I do try to star interesting questions. And answer in a positive/constructive manor..but can't always ad hear to that one in this forum.

I don't make a habit of giving "Thumbs down" but I have done it! usually if the question was a good one and the answer was offensive or abusive and I think then it deserves it, after all we are on here to have fun! not to upset people
