We go and watch the high school boys basketball games every weekend and there is a guy on our team that is just amazing! He moves around that court and does these fancy moves like he's floating on air. I know it's strange to compare poetry to basketball but he is just such a pleasure to watch!

Yes. I saw Rudolf Nureyev dance when he was at his prime. He was flying across the stage. I've seen shore birds diving for fish, palm fronds gently skittering in the wind, sailboats on a lazy swell, snowflakes swirling in a chaotic and turbulent fashion. When my cats are playing on their cat tree, they can be poetry in motion.

Seeing a ballet, watching any of the modern dance movies, seeing my parents dance together, watching the athletes cross the finish line in the Special Olympics, watching my son cross a dance floor to ask me to dance for the first time(yep, I cried!) all are poetry in their own way.
