The possibility of dying from a deep space impact is pretty huge actually. They may be very rare indeed, but when they happen they kill pretty much everything. Some scientists reckon that one killed up to 97% of ALL life. I wouldn't fancy my chances as being one of the 560 million odd people left surviving, assuming any survive at all - considering the simpler your existance is the more likely you are to survive.

But anyway, you are far more likely to die of trivial things like a road accident - 142 people a year are killed by toasters for God's sake. For 25 years the evil toasters have been murdering good Americans - and now the numbers are like those killed on 9/11. Something must be done to stop this metallic menace!

I'm sure if the world thought a comet would possibly hit Earth they may try to find a way to stop it.

Everybody would want a "pre-emptive" strike. Wouldn't you?

So, you find it a treat to die by terrorist? Do you get virgins too?

I'd like to see you support your statement, (read: it isn't a real argument) with some facts instead of conjecture.

It's hard to make an ice-ball look like a minion of Satan. They'll stick with brown-skinned people....

That tiresome stat was published long before 9/11...and I don't think anyone like me who lost someone that day is interested in statistical abstracts.
