Think of all the things you got. Think of all the things you want. Write it down. Think big too not just about clothes. Think of the future and how you will acquire those things without cash.

One day you may want to purchase something or put a down payment down on something and find you haven't really been prepared by saving up. All those youthful years have passed and you might not want to work towards saving when you get older because you will need all you earn then.

So think of the future, you may need money for your independence and health, or to purchase a home etc....so much more than clothes. They really are superficial, but I remember being a student and when you are that young you never think that way. I wish I had put more away for another day, you know what I mean? Good luck.

Just because you're not in debt doesn't make it ok to spend too much! You should sit down and add up everything you spend in a week or a month. That might shock you. If you're spending everything you make, you should start cutting down so you can start saving. You don't have to stop shopping, just start cutting back. Maybe you don't need designer EVERYTHING. Try going to the discount stores that have designer labels.

It's hard, but if you want to do it, you can!

I don't know how you manage NOT to be in debt and yet remain a student and spend, spend, spend on designer clothes, For your passion in clothes, you are no different from thousands of other women, are you? If you are not in debt, frankly I don't think you have a problem, just a taste to spend your money but not above it. IF however, we are not getting the full picture and you are spending on credit cards and the balances are getting bigger, then you need to cut the damn things up. Otherwise, I simply suggest that you create meditations that tell you its' bad to spend for the sake of it. make yourself hate yourself every time you buy something. And also teach yourself to buy what you NEED and not what you WANT. It is simply selfishness, isn't it.

your using credit cards or store cards? cut them up...

pay for everything with CASH.. it seems real then, so many buy on credit BUT it belongs to the bank till you've paid for it.

make a list of what you spend.. give yourself an allowance.

you don't have to buy labels all the time. My weak spot is music equipment and the odd game, BUT with the music stuff I'm trying to make something from it.

your in the uk? go primark.. £5 for 3 t-shirts.. bet your designer ones are what £15 for ONE..

you can look fashionable IF you know where to shop. A family member bought a suit for £30.. yes £30.. from asda.. people commented about how good it looked, so it's funny.

think what you would like and what you actually need.. try to stick to a limit you set =)

probably comfort spending-it may not seem a problem now but be careful i do exactly the same and find bags of stuff months later that i cant remember buying and so certainly didnt really need-its bad habit and i dont mean to scare u but i do it without thinking because i get a small buzz from it-but then i feel bad and guilty-limit your spending now or you may end up in trouble later x

Do like I do, research what you want on the net and find it in a store. And remind yourself you're only there for that(those) items and nothing else you see.

its called a budget. write down all you monthly bills that you have to pay
set aside some money every week for savings, and out of it all - allow yourself $40 a week (if you have it) to go shopping with.

Yes, you DO know how to stop and you know what the problem is (hint: look in the mirror). Grow up and develop self control.
