my husband and i have been married for 2 1/2 years we have 2 beautiful children. 19month old boy and 4 month old girl. Ever since we have been together my husband has found little ways too lie to me and i just cant understand why he does this. First it was too impress me, he lied to me bout material things that he didnt have, then it was bout financial things, now he just bough a snow machine and he told me that in the price he paid he got 2 helmets and 2 jackets. So that was cool i was pretty impressed. 3 days later i found out he had paided 350$ for the 4 items.plus the price of the sled. Ok im getting pissed. then just this evening i found out that he had to pay another 150$ for one of the jakets that he never told me bout. So i ask him why did you lie and he said.. ooh well i didnt lie i just kept it from you cuzi didnt want you too think it was too much. we've had all these items for a week now and hes kept this from me. what do you think??

You answered your own question.
He lied to you to IMPRESS you.
He did it when you were dating and does it now.
He hasn't changed, so accept him for what he does already.
After all, you married him so you must of accepted this as part of his character already.

You don't know the facts of life:

1. There is no Santa
2. All men cheat, almost all women cheat
3. Marriage ruins relationships(moving in is the same)
4. Everyone lies (you even lie to yourself)
5. Life is not fair

men lie to avoid confrontation, and having to be accountable. it makes for a very bad time in a marriage when u can't trust your significant other with finances or who knows what else. u need to confront him, maybe even insist he take back some of what he purchased if u feel u can't afford it. marriage is about trust, and being honest and forthright, lies erode the marriage and will make the one being lied to resentful.

not all men lie, but in this case i would not put with his lying to you, it shows his lack of respect for you, it also shows he is not to be trusted,
