well try printing a test page. im not sure how much computer know how you have. but locate your printer in the printers/faxes icon in the control panel. if it cant print, then after making sure everything is plugged in correctly, try to reinstall your drivers. you can either let your computer search for some that came with windows or search for them yourself on the net. you can find your drivers at your printers manufacturers website.

1st try this: If it is a network printer, make sure the pc that the printer is connected to is on. If that is not the case then view printers and remove the printer and then 'add new printer' and follow instructions. Make sure the printer is connected when you do this. This may help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329845 Good luck!

Worse case scenario is that you uninstall it and reinstall the drivers for it. Actually, this is probably the quickest and least annoying fix for your problem. You could spend hours trying to figure out what went wrong, or, spend 15 minutes uninstalling and re installing the drivers.

did you try setting the printer back to default/factory settings? I had a problem with my printer a few weeks ago and doing that fixed it right up

Maybe someone or maybe you "accidently" messed up something.
