The management company where i live have increased the service charge by 40% on my apartment do i have to pay?

I'm obliged to pay for the maintainance of the comunal areas in my lease but this increase is unfair and i cant afford to pay , but im worried i could be taken to court..please help!!

This is not usual for an apartment, usually those are included in your rent. You need to look over your lease. If you are renting in a HOA area you are stuck, they will evict you if you don't pay.

service charge? Never heard of a service charge by an apartment complex. Are you living in a condo?

What does your lease say? If you agreed in it to pay the fee, you are stuck.
