Why do people listen to Oprah when she can't even get her own life right?

Oprah makes a ton of $$ airing people's problems on TV. She has all these guest professional speakers and after all these years you'd think she could have learned a thing or two from them right?
She still has weight problems, still cant get a real man, wont come out about her lesbian girlfriend and thinks her dogs are children. Ironic huh.

But she's laughing all the way to the bank cause she's got people to feel sorry for her and for themselves. Life is good for Oprah.

border...........if you think that Oprah is using her own money to give to charities, you're wrong. corporations are giving her money to give to charities. this gives corporations free advertising. this makes you happy, this makes her happy and this makes corporations lots of money.

So, according to you, only "perfect people" should be able to try to help others? People without problems will be less likely to relate to people who do. Oprah has a lot of compassion and her show is, for the most part, positive. I think she is one person who has done a lot of good in this world and she deserves all her money. She does have a man, so you may want to get your facts straight. Being gay wouldn't make her less of a good person. I never voted for Bush and I'm grateful for the many things I've learned from Oprah. I'm wondering why you're being so judgmental about a person you don't know. I'm wondering if it's jealousy or just an outlet to vent your frustrations.What's it to you if she loves her dogs? Animals are children for a lot of people, there's nothing wrong with that.
PS How well will you treat your patients if they're overweight, gay, animal lovers, wealthy, black ? She DOES have a thyroid condition, it's come up several times in her show. It scares me that someone like you could end up being my nurse.

Sounds like you have a problem with Oprah. Maybe if you were ambitious you could earn a lot of money and earn some respect like Oprah has done.
O's earned her money. She's worked hard.
She is not a lesbian.
She has a good man in her life. A real one - Stedman.
She's overweight because of a medical thyroid condition. She's been open about this.
Nothing wrong with treating your dog like a child. THey're helpless and very loyal.

Some people feel that Oprah is a "traitor" because her audience consists of majority of white folks. Honestly, it may be free to be there but I know I cant afford a trip to Chi Town myself, so I'm definitely not a hater on that...

Some people feel that its wack she is supporting Obama when she isn't even "black" anymore.....Oprah is all about living the best life now...she cant change it by herself, she understands that it all starts with the government.. by supporting a black man that is going to put our issues on the forefront of the election....so we can live better as a whole in society ...(HOWEVER, being educated I know I'm not voting for Obama OR Hilary because they personally haven't given me a reason to yet)....so I'm not a hater on that...


She may be thick, but she used to be real fat...like, unhealthy fat. So for her to be on a now-stable workout regimen and be a healthy size for her age...(shes past 50 come on)... I'm not a hater on that...

I'm sure corporations do give her money. THATS WHY RICH PEOPLE DO CHARITY, IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT'S A WRITE OFF! THEY HAVE SO MUCH MONEY THAT IF YOU DONT GIVE IT AWAY IT BECOMES AN ISSUE OF THE GOV'T... EITHER WAY FOR HER, ITS A WRITE OFF..(she'll get her money back along with every other wealthy person in the world)....BUT, with charities, why do it by yourself when can reach more people and do more with other companies?? Isnt this how most big charities are???

But, she has her own private charity foundation as well...so I cant hate on that.

As far as her sexual interest... that isnt my concern nor do care! Is she paying my bills?!?!

She's not asking anyone to feel sorry for her.... she's human and learning just like we ALL are! When did Oprah claim she was perfect?! I don't think she has ever!! She was a victim of child abuse, as am I so I like to look up to her and see how far she's come... look how far Oprah's come... before judging her on where she is NOT.
She's very successful in many areas of life.. including helping others. She's helped millions of people, and very dedicated to the school she has in Africa.
But, you're right, life is GOOD for Oprah.

That's a billion dollar question cause that's what the fat, worthless *** has in her bank account for simply running her big , fat mouth about others pain and shortcomings! Oprah is a joke,,,and is a lesbian who will not come clean as she wants everyone to approve of everything she does! No, she is not one of my favorites, but I do respect her because she's HONEST AND she's REAL. She has never tried to lie about her weight loss/gain, she does have a love in her life (and no, I'm sure it's not Gail--why is it when girls are friends, they are considered lesbians), and what's wrong with caring for your pets? I have NEVER heard her call them her children. About going to the bank with all the money. Have you seen what she does with a lot of it? Charities, gifts, etc., etc., etc.

Don't like her or the show, then don't watch it. PLAIN & SIMPLE.

I think you must not have any real female friends in your life, if you think Oprah and Gayle are lesbians.

That said, many of us have problems. No human is perfect. At least Oprah provides her viewers with resources on how to try to solve their problems. I don't think she claims anywhere to be an expert on anything...she simply arranges for experts to be on her show so that her viewers have virtual access to them. In fact, I think she'd be the first to stand up and tell the world about her problems. She regularly acknowledges her imperfections.

I don't see, hear of or know anyone who feels sorry for her. What would be the reason for feeling sorry for her?

Are you just peeved that she's supporting Obama? I must agree that her support of him is no reason why anyone should vote for him...Each voter should investigate each candidate, and choose the one whose values best match their own. Whoever I choose to vote for, it certainly won't be because somebody on TV said I should.

I love Oprah... she's a great role model... and whether or not she is a lesbian is her choice and I"m not judging or hating her for it. Last I heard she and Stedman were still an item, as they have been for years!

The world is full of over weight people doesn't mean they have issues, we just love to eat.
