A democrat is a name used to call a person who is a member o the Democratic Party of the US, the other party is Republican party.

For more than 200 years, the Democratic Party has represented the interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities and justice for all Americans.

Today, Democrats continue that fight with a firm commitment to the values that we all share as Americans: a secure nation that leads in the world, strong economic growth and new jobs, affordable health care for all Americans, and a better education for our children.

The main difference between the Republican party and the Democratic Party is their world view. The Republican believe that it is every man or family for themselves while the Democrat believes that we are all in this together. Republicans fallow father figures that know best regardless and Democrats fallow representatives of the peoples will. A Democrat will present evidence to debate the issue and the Republican will attack anyone who is presenting evidence that might weaken the father figure that knows best image as a strong protector which they rely on in times of fear. When you are voting listen and ask yourself is this person regardless of what party representing the will of the people with "We" and "Us" or do you hear allot of "Me" and "I"

In the simplest of terms, Democrats are socialists who support a nanny government and do not think people should be responsible for themselves or thier actions.
"universal health care" is a prime examplke of thier misguided belief that the government is better suited to provide goods and services than the private sector.
I challenge you to name ONE instance where any government agency has provided any goods or services to anyone in a more cost effective way than the free market.
