Yeah I mean reno. thx abfabmom. I heard it before somewhere and thought of las vegas.

No, but Reno is.
Much of Nevada is farther west than many parts of California. However, Las Vegas is in the southern end of Nevada, which angles east the farther south you go. Las Vegas is definitely east of Los Angeles.

If you got west of LA you will be in the Pacific Ocean.
