What does a WASP stand for when its referred to men?? Does anyone know??

While it's true that it originated with the acronym "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant", it's usage is often a bit broader than that. In fact, a "WASP" may not always be of English background, nor Protestant -- it has more to do with race (white) and "social class".

Check out the SECOND listing offered in most dictionaries -- something like this:

"a member of the privileged, established white upper middle class in the U.S".

She is correct White Anglo Saxon Protestant. It is not only used in reference to men - but if you are talking about the "good 'ole boy" network - generally it does refer to men. It is used to add race as a factor in conversation and is NOT politically correct.
