they are considered the home team since they are #1 so they will wear the scarlet jerseys, even though they are playing in LSU's backyard...

I don't know where to find the information regarding this issue, I do know it depends on whether they are the "Home" or "Away" team, and I know that each year it changes. I want to say that the conference who won the game the year previously is considered the Home team hosting the game, but I don't know how that applies to the BCS Game. I do know they are given new uniforms sporting the BCS logo and the sponsors of the BCS, so they will not be wearing their regulation uniforms from the regular season anyway, and neither will the cheerleaders.
As for the band - they get some free warm-up suits courtesy of the sponsors hosting the game.
By the way, I have to say the OSU Marching Band is really good. They have a great sound. I'll be singing your fight song all the while holding up the "V for Victory" sign for USC Trojans.

LSUseldom wheres scarlet. If OSU gets home they will wear scarlet. If LSU likely white. More than likely Ohio State comes out in Scarlet.

LSU does not like to wear their purple jerseys, so if LSU wears purple it might be a mind game thing. However, I think if osu wears white lsu will get all jacked up and pissed because they are in their purple jerseys. I say wear the scarlet because in a dome with the lighting its easier to see the red jerseys looking for receivers. Also once we beat lsu i dont want them to say its because they wore their purple jerseys.

If LSU gets the home team they will choose to wear white.. Its tradition... If OSU gets home team, they will choose scarlet..
So my guess is LSU will be wearing White and OSU will be wearing Scarlet...

They had the pick of jerseys since they were ranked #1 and they chose to wear the home scarlets.

ohio state will be in white ohio state doesn't wear Scarlett in bowl games that often away from ohio they like to stick with scarlet in the horseshoe
