when iam overclocking my cpu then when i restart my computer i have to reformat my hard drive cause it won't let my hard drive work for some reason could anyone help

High overclocks affect the PCIe clock and sometimes disables the SATA drive. Lower your overclock and experiment with PCIe clock settings. PCIe=115mHz usually works when fsb is at around 1333mHz. Most SATA drives would not work when PCIe exceeds 120mHz. You need not reformat the drive. There is nothing wrong with it. It is the interface setting that goes awry when overclocking too much.

Higher overclocks are easier obtained with an IDE drive connected.

I've overclocked almost every processor I've owned, and have never had that happen. My guess is something else was already wrong, or there's a significant error somewhere between the chair and the keyboard.

i have never had that problem when overclocking my cpu's so it must be unrelated.
