There are two types of dolphins, if your referring to a dolphin like flipper, then it is actually a water mammal..but there is a fish called a dolphin, it is very large, and greenish blue in color

"Blue dolphin" (usually just called 'dolphin') are mammals (like Flipper, ee! ee!), but there IS a fish called a dolphin. Dolphin fish is popular restaurant dish, but because people are dumb, restaurants usually call dolphin fish by its Hawaiian name, "mahi mahi"

Dolphins are mammals because they don't have gills, they surface to breathe through their blowhole, because they are warm-blooded whereas fish are cold-blooded, and because they nurse their young with milk.

NO they are mammals.Their young are born live and nursed with milk.They are warm blooded.Basically they are like people crossbred with fish. Don't feel bad if you thought they were fish because i did too.

NO NO NO NO NO! they give birth to live babies!!! they breath air!!! and the tail goes up and down not sideways!!! Its easy to tell just because they live in water they are not fish!

No they are mammals because they breath in air that is why they have the "hole" on top of them.
