Everybody says different things and everybody thinks it is 8 or 6 or 4 or just 2. How many is it suppose to be?

I don't want to get TSS, when should you change your tampon?

i change mine everytime i pee and if i dont need to pee for a long time just change it when u feel it is full and bleeding out a lil but usualy every 4-6 hours works for me

FDA recommends the following tips to help avoid tampon problems:
Follow package directions for insertion.
Choose the lowest absorbency for your flow.
Change your tampon at least every 4 to 8 hours.
Consider alternating pads with tampons.
Know the warning signs of toxic shock syndrome.
Don't use tampons between periods.
What I would add to that is to use a pad at night instead of a tampon. Changing a tampon every 4 hours is a good idea. I never read anywhere that they should be changed every two hours.

2-4 but it should tell you on the box that the tampons came in... definitely NO MORE than 8 or you are at risk for TSS

i believe its less than 8 hours and you should never sleep with a tampon on!

if you read the package insert that comes with the tampons, you will find that it is recommended that you change your tampon at least every two hours, this is so you don't get toxic shock syndrome and DIE.

usually i only wear mine for 4-5 hours and somethimes 6

8 is the most but if ur period is really heavy take it out if it is getting down to the string
