Do these just like regular equations, but if you multiply or divide by a negative number, then reverse the direction of the inequality sign.

1. Divide each side by 2. Answer: x is less than 8. You didn't divide by a negative number, so the inequality sign stays the same.
3. Divide each side by -4. Answer: t is less than 5. You divided by a negative number, so change the sign from greater than to less than.
