Not very well... They depend too much on Ben Sheets and we don't know how whether Ryan Braun will have a sophomore slump... Plus with injury-prone Gagne as the closer... They could have some major bullpen troubles.

I say let's wait and find out how they will do in 2008, but if you would have told me that the Milwaukee Brewers would have have a good 2007 season, and win a lot of thier game, more then they ever do, I would hae laughed at you, I would have believed you. With sports teams, it is hard to tell even in the offseason , hiow a team will do the next season. That is until they begin, the Brewers might go back to thier losing ways, but let's just find out first, but there is nothing wrong with guessing how they will do.

I like them to win the division with about 90 maybe more wins. I think the starting pitching will be better than last season, and obviously they have a bunch of good bats. This might be the only team in baseball with two guys, Fielder and Braun, that could hit 50 homers next season. The fielding will be below average and cost them a win here and there, but the bats are good enough to make up for it. The bullpen to me might be a bit shaky. I don't care for the Gagne signing and think he will pitch poorly or get injured. Torres and Riske were excellent aquisitions though.

I'm going to say for sure playoffs, more then likely nlcs. The national league is diminishing and the american league is getting all the big names. And here we are the Brewers with possibly the future of baseball sitting here waiting for their time. Last year their starting roatation was rated as one of the best in the bigs in the beginning then injuries started to happen. Sheets is a cy young award winner when healthy obviously. Plus with all the young blood who proved themselves unstoppable they have a great starting rotation. As for relief they have obviously improved, sure they lost cordero but hell they picked up gange(one of best currently) I don't care what people say about his last year end of the season slump, ah keep in mind in texas he was his shut out self. They add torres and riske two innings eaters who can keep low eras and they still have turnbow even though hes not his old self he was getting better throughout the season. So that gives them a solid short relief staff plus a great long relief staff(excluding capuano, no matter how good he does we can't win with him on the mound which sucks). Looking into their lineup they have only gained experience, losing jenkins isn't going to be that big of a blow especially if they can pick up a 3rd baseman and move braun to the outfield to concentrate on his hitting. They have one of the youngest, most talented teams in the nl, and yet they hit the most homeruns in the bigs by a large margin. Tell me other then experience where is their weakness? They only improve this year especially if they put gwynn or hart in centerfield for defensive abilities and speed.
I say win NL Central, make it to the NLCS, possibly make it to the series if we're lucky. Unfortuently the AL is a freaking powerhouse over there until the Brewers get those few years of playoff experience under the belt.

How can people already predict the playoffs? I think the Brewers will do no worse, no better than this year.
