Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Canada.... is there a reason behind the fact that all of the countries that are considered the most developed, best educated, richest, and most free and stable, are countries that are in the extreme north??

Well, for one thing, too much sun fries your brains and addles your wits. Though one has not found that inuits are mentally superior to the rest of humankind (not yet anyway), so it might be something else.
Maybe it is that television shows are subtitled there- not dubbed- giving the average couch potato on more stimulation than his southern counterpart- learning foreign languages as well as the grammar and spelling of their own language- all while watching the telly. Remarkable, eh?

They are smaller in size and population. They don't got to war and rescue all of the other countries in the world. They just sit there and take care of their own.

Because they share the world view that we are all in this together. These countries have a good balance of social programs

? They've got nothing better to do in the winter than stay inside and study.
In southern countries, you can have an outdoor winter life.

they are pretty far north and remain a total disaster.
the clusterf*ck in russia actually has more people living in it than all the nations you just mentioned combined.
