Besides being in pain temporarily, you can cause concentrated urine, kidney pain due to the backwash, and an infection in the bladder.
I heard of one rare case where a girl in a parade had her bladder explode, but I am not sure if that is true. One thing is for certain, it isn't healthy.

Increase in pressure in the bladder will cause back flow to the ureters, leading to urinary tract infection, or pressure on the kidneys, leading to irreparable damage to the kidneys. Rupture of ureters or bladder leading to possible peritonitis.
All in all, not a good range of options.

embarrasing leakage!!! Nothing too serious I should imagine: if your body needs to get rid of pee, belive me it will find a way. You could try holding it, but in the end you`ll need to go SOOO bad, you`ll jjust give up the experiment! LOL
