Why do people listen to celebrities like Oprah for advice?

she's a CELEBRITY. she gets paid to PRETEND she cares.
if i was getting famous and paid millions of dollars from advertisers , i'd pretend to care also.

I don't know why they listen to that gloryhog.Oprah is all about herself,and getting publicity.You can tell she loves attention.I don't for one second believe she's genuine.The only reason she does these things is to get praise,like she's a damn queen or something.I'm sick of her.

She doesn't even bother pretending she cares - most of the time she looks bored when people are yapping about their problems.

I think it's a joke that she's always advising people on their marriages and children like she knows better than them when she isn't married and doesn't have children ... yeah she's really in a position to get all judgemental.
