Musk turtles are a very common Florida native turtle. Sounds like you found a wild one. He would be better off back in the wild, as he's been doing pretty good on his own! They don't need deep water, and like to hide in the mud and weeds of ponds. Like all turtles, he needs a heat basking area available, a UVB reptile light, a water heater, a strong water filter, a variety of diet items, and should be in at least a 30-40 gallon tank. He may not recognize what you are feeding him as food. Musks don't usually float--he could have a respiratory infection. You really should have him checked out by a reptile vet if you intend to keep him, and have him checked for parasites.

You can just go into a shop and put a down payment for a tatt design. The designer will make a turtle to your liking and the add the flowers. You can't just find a turtle with the lilacs already made special for you. That's a personal tatt. Not everyone would want that tatt. The turtle would be common. Type in a search for Turtle Tattoo's. Good Luck

I am experienced......... my dad found a turtle also.... the turtle had no back legs and was in a rough condition. So he took him home and we took care of him for as long as possible. We dug a little hole in the backyard so he had some water to swim in. He loved it. The only problem was, he had a hard time getting out of the mini-pond we made him. So we had to take him out most of the time. Eventually, the turtle died from sickness. We took care of him and kept him alive for as long as we could.

So you can do what we did. Or you can take him to the vet. That is probably what you should do, just to be sure.

It's a wild animal, let it go, and let it take care of itself, it'll do just fine. Just put him back in the area you found him, and there will probably be no lasting harm. The turtle is obviously wild, and even with its disability, it has lived long enough for that to heal, so it will be able to continue to live outside.

if it hasnt eaten i would let it go
you say it has only 3 legs but the wounds are not recent
that means the turtle is healthy enough and strong enough to survive on its own.
by taking a turtle out of the wild you are making your other turtles susceptible to diseases this turtle may carry and you are taking a potential healthy breeder out of the population

What will help is taking the turtle to the VET!!! And did you put an ad in the paper for the owner? Did you even bother?! If you have taken on the turtle then you have also taken on the resonsibility for his health! It is his right by law to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse! Get your parents to take you to the vet!

The turtle has been getting along without your help for its entire life.
Now it won't eat.
I think the answer should be obvious.
Release it where you found it.
