1. both - DNA is copied during interphase before both processes.
2. Meiosis only. Crossing over happens when the homologous chromosomes synapse during Prophase I. That only happens in meiosis.

1-both of mitosis and meiosis occur duplication of chromosome. but form meiosis, only in meiosis II.
2-nope. only meiosis will have crossing over between homologous chromosomes during synapse.
