Have Israel get rid of it's nuke weapons.

Problem solved and no military action necessary.

You are making at least two huge, incorrect assumptions.

First, think what happens every time Israel attempts a goodwill gesture. The very next day, Palestinian papers and terrorist leaders are spouting nonsense that the concession by Israel shows they are weakening. In their twisted logic, the response to a gesture of this sort is to assume the enemy is losing its resolve, so now they must attack all that much harder, to achieve final victory.

So, your first point does not hold up to scrutiny.

Secondly, Iran wants nukes to assert itself as an important, big-league nation. Squashing Israel is just one of its many aims. It wants to consider itself an equal with the United States and Western Europe.

If Israel got rid of its weapons, Iran would probably be more determined, figuring they had one less obstacle. They want power, not just against that one tiny nation, but as a weapon to threaten the whole world. That's how these nations operate, by overt coersion and not so thinly-veiled threats.

The only thing that would result from Israel divesting itself of nukes is that, when attacked, the U.S. would have to bear an even greater burden in its defense.

If you really think that Iran would stop their nuke aspirations if Israel got rid of their weapons, then you are as naive as the day is long.

No, that would be a great way to get rid of Israel and people like you who promote that know it. Israel has had nukes for years. I haven't seen them threatening to wipe Iran off the map.

Iran does not have nuclear weapons only nuclear power but North Korea is in the testing phase with their WMDs and not even on the media radar.

You think the Iranians would stop at Israel?

That would be just their testing grounds.

And how can we get Israel to do that?

And would you believe that Iran would play fair and give up theirs?

If you believe that you're very naive.
