is there a size limit to being able to squish roaches? I am fairly short 5'0 and roaches don't die when i stomp them, they just get injured sometimes and run away. Are they killable? I just moved to a place that is run by roaches so advice would help.

my advice is move out of that place or have them come spray for roaches. But maybe eat a litttle more, pack on a couple pounds and practice your stomping form and you will kill them.

the best thing is too not worry about actually killing all the bastards butt repel them to go else were. make sure your house is spotless, don't leave sinks full of dishes and dirty tubs overnight. if you own pets keep them clean too. also try to eat only in the kitchen, vaccum often. be sure to make sure your yard is taken care of. a yard with overgrown grass and litter is just a welcome sign to roaches. a clean spotless house is hell for roaches so they leave and go find another house that suits them well. finally get a fly swatter. the swatter is stronger than a shoe and more effective. because the holes prevents the roach or insect from detecting the vibrations therefore allowing you to strike them before they become aware of what's coming. as for raid spray you should just avoid them cause they can make you sick and roaches are becoming resistant to them and may not always die, instead use roach hotels, and glue traps. hotels will allow to enter alive and when they exit (when removed by you) they'll be dead. glue traps will hold them until you come and kill them mercilessily.

Oh my God....this is my biggest fear.....when I lived in Philly a lot of the row homes had those big black water bugs....when in the middle of the night if you were to go down stairs and turn on the kitchen light they would scatter ....I can still hear myself screaming .... what my Father would do was hire an exterminator....that's the only thing that will get rid of them....but after a while the poison wares off and unless all your neighbors have their home done they'll be back !!!!!!!!!!!
I can't imagine why when you step on them they don't die....because you can kill them, maybe your not hitting them right....oh my God I'm going to have the creeps for the night....thank God my Father moved us to New Jersey and I never had to deal with that again. If you see one you know that there are more in the walls....get an exterminator !!!!!!!!!!

Honey you need to put some more umph in you stomp, or get you a can of spray so that when you stun them by stomping on them it will give you time to grab the "Raid".

Boric acid is very effective when used properly for killing roaches. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them.

if an exterminator is out of the question try going to the dollar store and buying roach killer for a buck

Do you own or rent? If you rent, talk to your landlord! He/she will have to hire an exterminator. Or, you can buy boric acid powder, sprinkle it behind, under and around appliances.. This is suppose to be one of the most effective. You could try bug bombing, too.

God luck to ya!

My advice is to wear heavy, oversized boots. Clearly we are dealing with a population that is hell-bent on overtaking all of the humans on this planet.

That makes me ill, get some bombs and set them off weekly until they are all gone. Stepping on them won't eliminate the problem, you need to get rid of eggs and all.
