...been president rather than Bush?

Years and billions spent in green car engineering and the envt would have gone a long way. When i say 200 it could be 300MPG (using unheard 90 percent efficient solar panels on the roof, recharging when parked at the mall in the sun).

Instead we are wasting billions in Irak and on top of this we cannot really say that we found a solution for oil, we still feel not secure

I hope Al gore runs for prez and saves our energy crisis
Your reactions please...

Opponents to Al Gore say he flies a jet etc, but he 'promotes green' around the US and the world, which offsets his person consumtion maybe 1000 times...
So forget the jet, look at the big picture...

People who say GW is man made must explain to me, how the CO2 level suddenly passed 300ppm in recent decades [Al Gore book page 47] to be believed.

Johann yes Volks plans a futuristic 200 MPG car, but super tiny and years ahead
With Gore not only it would look like a normal (bigger) car, but it would be around already, in your and my garage

The 200MPG will be launched in 2008/2009 by Volkswagen. Some of my colleagues already pre-ordered it.

All of it helped us in Europe to become absolute leaders in green technologies.

Alone Germany controlls 60% of the wind industry and 60% of the PV industry worldwide.

And even if the US were to join an international climate agreement, the currency will still be the Euro and London stay the financial capital of new markets.

This is really not difficult when your competitors have their budget cut by their president. Thanks again.

Your poor choices are our future :-)

Maybe if Al had done something other than extorting Chinese campaign contributions during his time as Vice President, we'd have cars with a lot higher mileage on average. But since gas was cheap, ol' Environment Al didn't care less that cars just got bigger, more powerful, and less economical the whole time he was there.

Al gore is not going to run for office and if he did he would not get elected. He had made a movie ( an inconvenient truth ) that was inaccurate on so many facts. It has made him look very caring and smart but only to a few. The rest of us look at him as someone that lacks the capability and fortitude to run this great nation. The above reason is only one of many reasons why I believe he is not a bad man but not near good enough to lead this country.

No. If Al gore had won we would not a hear a word about his global warming BS because it is a scam he invented to make money!. Global warming is not a disaster and is not manmade, it's cyclical..come on we're coming out of an ice age what do you expect?

He was vice president to a democrat president for 8 years...if this is something that could be done, don't you think they'd have done more during those 8 years?

Do you think Bill Clinton and GWB are against good gas mileage?

No, I don't think we'd have anything like that, just more taxation to solve the imaginary man made green house emissions melting our planet.

I would certainly hope the president of this country would have more important issues at hand then developing new kinds of engines for cars!

What makes you think Al Gore believes a single word he says? Is it the flying in private jets or the limousines? Maybe it's all his mansions.
