I'm 33 weeks now. I was going to wait until my 36th week to pack.
Do you think that's too late?
This is my first baby.

Thanks :)

If you start now, you can add things as you remember them.

I would do it now pack things that you wont miss and get those travel size tooth brush and stuff that way you can just throw it out when you leave the hospital some babys come a little early others a little late some right on time better safe than sorry!

I would leave a few things out that can be put into a bag, I was always nervous so i packed early, didn't want the hubby at home packing for me, I'd have a thong and a bra, if he did... lol.... It never hurts to pack a few things just in case... GOOD luck with soon to be new arrival, Don't forget to pack a lil something for the baby!!

Much love, good luck!!

Why not go ahead and so it now while your thinking about it. I am 33 weeks and just packed mine and baby's bag and stuck it in my car this past weekend. No sense in waiting really, and as someone else suggested, you can always add things as you think of them. You never know when your baby will be ready and where you'll be when it happens!!

I am 35 weeks now and have been in the hospital once with preterm labor and my hospital bag still isn't packed. If you are comfortable having someone else gather up your things to bring to the hospital if needed, then I wouldn't worry too much about getting the bag ready.

I don't think I would wait any longer than that. I waited til the last minute and it worked out but there's always the chance of early labor. If you have everything you need pack it now, if you like..less to worry about. Put a dryer sheet in with your things though to keep them fresh if you do decide to pack early.

I had my first at 33 1/2 weeks. I also had grocery bags in the car on the way to the hospital. That was my bag, they spoiled.

That should be fine unless you have any complications. In general the first is the longest so if it comes down to it you can do it during the early stages but 36 weeks is better :) Trust your body when the time come! I had nurses deliver my first two boys because they didn't listen and my midwife literally ran in and caught my third :) Make someone listen when you need them.

If you are worried about it go ahead and pack that way you know that you have everything and you aren't adding even more stress to the already stressful labor. I packed ahead and it was so easy to just grab the bag and go. I did however forget to pack myself clothes to come home in but I had everything my daughter would need.

Go ahead and pack it. Toss in some things for your baby too, and I hope s/he is healthy.

At least the bag will be packed. Keep it close to your front door in case you have to make a dash for it.

(I only made it to week 37 and week 34.)

No, it's certainly not too late. You could even wait until your 39th week. It's your first baby. The chances of you going early are less than 10%. However 70% of first timers go at least 5-10 days late.
