Not sure what calendar you're using but Dec. 31'st falls on a monday on mine and the monday night games don't get changed. They only change sunday night games to those of more interest.
You must have made a typo, i doubt they would be playing on new year's eve, so there could be a real possibility if there's a game with higher play-off implications to be played.

Well, if NBC decides to keep that game, there is no chance it will be moved, but I can see the possibility of that happening. NBC did it to Seattle and Chicago already so I would not be surprised if they moved that game which has no playoff implications whatsoever.

NBC will try to get a better game, but CBS and Fox are being stingy about what they will give up.
This weekend is a great example. The Jags/Steelers is the best game on and CBS has already told SNF and MNF that they can't have it.

I don't think it will be moved. If it was a day game, another game would air instead, but this being a sunday night game, it is too late to move it.
