Firstly you mention the building of the 'Colosseum' The Flavian Amphitheatre built under the reigns of Vespasian and his son Titus, with finishing touches by his other son Domitian.

Secondly you could try the Emperor Trajan's Dacian wars. Dacia was a kingdom where modern day Romania is. It was attacked by Trajan in great force. This ties in with Trajan's column built in Rome which commemorated the wars.

I'm curious as how this will be answered. However, I'm not too clear about what you mean when you say "have the power to issue arrest warrants for Roman courts?" Is this a Jurisprudence Question? Maybe if that were a bit better clarified, one could venture to reply? While it seems to sit on the fence, the Problem JPAS' answer and part of the Day Tripper's answers say around the same thing, that the Sanhedrin would need to ratify with the Romans. I know it's not the question, but the Day Tripper raised the subject of the Trial of Jesus and quoted only the Bible. I would love to know what is the Jewish Scriptural take on this incident, if there is any.

The Jewish Revolt took place in 70AD, leading to the destruction of Israel. That was a big one.

The Roman legions that put down the revolt were led by Titus, who soon became Caesar.
