this guy i know is 28 but he only ever seems to hang out with older women(40-50 year olds)...why doesn't he hang out with any men or younger people?

There are some - but few- men like this. I happened to really love a guy who married a woman about 20 years older than him - and stayed married to her as it turns out. His mother died when he was a baby. Guess she fulfilled a need.
People have preferences - and there's generally a reason for the preferences. It would probably be better to find a solution to his need to be with older women rather than marry one because women age badly and men don't. Doesn't look good when she's 70 and he's 50. But each to his own.....

maybe he doesn't like women his age. He could possibly relate more to older women and may feel more comfortable with them.
Or he could just be one of those guys to likes to date older women. There is nothing weird about that. Everyone is entitled to have his own preference.

maybe growed up as a only child around adults all the time, or could be looking for mother figure, also could just like older women

He might be tired of younger women and their drama or feel that they aren't as mature as he is. He might also just have a fetish with older women.
