Ok, my bf and I had unprotected sex on the day I started my BC for the month. (this was about two weeks ago) I hadn't taken the last 3 from the month before because I was on Anti-biotics ( we used protection for that). I've been on BC for about 9 months now too...

Now i'm experiencing nausea that makes me feel like i'm going to puke but I don't.
I'm drinking a ton more than usual
I've got severe sensitivity to things (i've used a large box of tissues crying over stupid stuff the past week)
and I'm constantly tired/not wanting to do anything.
Severe headache started yesterday

Could I be pregnant and experiencing symptoms so soon? Could I test this early? What test should I use?

I've told my bf about this, and he says that whatever happens he'll be there for me, and we'll start being more cautious...

Please help...

Hi Sweetie. Althought it's possible you're pregnant, I really doubt that you are. It less of chance of you getting symptoms so early. My guess is, if you just finished anti biotics and started BC again right after, that is why you are nauseas and want to vomit and having bad headaches. When you mix bc with certain stuff you get the pleasure feeling nauseas.

Sux to be a woman huh?
I'd give it a week to see if it goes away. If not then get tested.

It really depends what you plan to do with your life. My friend could have been a vet and she got pregnant at 18 and now she will never fulfill that dream, she admits herself that she will settle for being a mum and no more. If she got pregnant later she could have graduated first and had the best of both worlds. Equally, some people are very mature and some just suit being mothers! I also know a girl who got pregnant early and it worked out really well for her. She has a supportive family and boyfriend (soon husband) and lives a very happy life. A word of caution, if you are pregnant and deciding what decision to make, love matters can change overnight especially with the pressures of a child. As young people feelings can switch on and off like a lightbulb. It's no fairytale most of the time! With the right family and backing age doesn't matter. But an ambitious life for the mum might not follow the birth of a baby, except for the joys a child can bring.

Im not going to tell you to not have sex. That would be ignorant.
However... BE SMART.
If you are no pregnant, learn your lesson.
TAKE YOUR BC PILLS REGULARLY.
If you just start a new type of BC, it takes a month to kick in .
Also, antibiotics make the BC pills less effective so thats 100% cause of getting pregnant. Antibiotics stay in your system for longer than a few days sometimes too. So if you stop taking your antibiotic and then 2 weeks later have sex.. the antibiotic may still be in your system.

A more personal note... when your 17 most likely the guy you are with wont be who you marry so use a condom because most 17 yr old guys (1 out of 4 or 5) also have STDs.. .and most 17 yr old guys will RUN if you tell them you are pregnant.
Im 22 and yea sure I lucked out when I was your age but I look back and see that I was stupid.

The ability to be pregnant is there as soon as you have your first period. Birth control takes a little while to start working, so if you had unprotected sex the first day you took it for months, it wouldn't have had an effect. As far as your symptoms go, they are all symptoms of pregnancy, but they are also symptoms of other things. 2 weeks is soon enough to have symptoms, and it's also soon enough to test. Get a home pregnancy test (MAKE SURE IT WILL TEST AS EARLY AS 2 WEEKS IN) and use it. If it's positive, you know what's going on - if not, you probably need to go to the doctor just to be sure, because if you aren't pregnant, then something else must be causing that, and a doctor is the only one who can diagnose that.

I started experiencing symptoms two weeks after I ovulated, so you could definately have symptoms that early. I also know several people who have gotten pregnant while on bc pills. Take an early pregnancy test. Just make sure to take it the first time you urinate in the morning (the hormones are more concentrated then) and get a box that has atleast two tests in it so you can double check.

Yes, you can get pregnant at 17. Physically, 10 year olds can get pregnant, but definitly shouldn't. As for your boyfriend, it is good that he is taking responsibility.

You must get tested by a doctor to know for sure. Yes, you can get tested. Actually, the sooner you get yourself tested, the better. Now days, there is no too soon or too early for getting tested for these kind of things. So yes, you can and you should get tested as soon as possible.

A word of causion though, don't have sex unless your ready to be a mother and to have all of the responsibilites of being a mother. It only takes one time to get pregnant.

Sometimes even pills can fail, and condoms can sometimes tear. Even with both the pill and condoms, it still is possible that they could both fail. Your less likely to get pregnant, but that doesn't mean that it is impossible to become pregnant.

NO ONE is an exception to this. Anyone and Everyone who has sex, takes on the very possible risk of getting pregnant.

You don't have to be over 18 to get pregnant if you and bf had sex (un-). If you didn't take your bc pills because of antibiotics, your protection (hormones) level dropped in your bloodstream at the wrong time.
-nausea
-sensitivity (emotional)
-increased thirst
-being tired

Buy any pregnancy test and use it exactly according to the directions. Hold bf's hand while looking at the results. Come clean with your parents. Be damn sure bf (and his family) will be there for you the entire way (not just the first few months).

You could be pregnant....Girls as young as 12 can get pregnant. Me and my Fiancee have had some scares in the past but it has turned out to be nothing but that doesnt mean it cant happen. I would try going to a place that offers free pregnancy tests by looking onlibe in your town or in the phone book. You can also get condoms there if you end up not being pregnant. My fiancee have been more carefull lately to avoid this problem. Sure we would love to have kids but not at this time. Good luck to you and hope everything works out the way you want it too.

You should buy a pregnancy test at the store. Save yourself all this anxiety. They cost about ten dollars.

Sperm can stay viable in your body for a long time I have been told. Sometimes for up to ten days. You are lucky you have a boyfriend that is loyal and loving. You need to always use protection. Have your bf check out lambskin rubbers. They are expensive but they feel like nothing is there when they are on. Check out "Naturalamb" About $30 for a 12 pack.

The best way to find out is test. However if you had sex when you started your BC, wouldn't you have been on your period or at least just finishing it? That's not really in the 'norm' of when you'd ovulate.

I think you have more of a stomache flu - it's going around big time. You could pick up an EPT or anything that reads that you can test before your missed period.
