Even with a couple of their very best players out injured, Oklahoma will beat West Virginia like a rented mule. Mizzou will dust Arkansas also which will prove that Oklahoma should have played for the title (because OU just beat Mizzou and Arkansas just beat LSU).

Oklahoma

I would love for WV to win the fiesta bowl, but the sad thing is that probably won't happen.

Oklahoma has one of the better DEF in the D1 and that should be enough to shut down Pat White and Slaton. Pittsburgh did it, and WV lost its chances for a national championship. Oklahoma is going to destroy what is left of WV.

I don't see this being a close game, but it should be a high scoring one.

Good luck!!

OU showed in the Big 12 Championship game that their defense can handle a fast offense, and Mizzou has a much tougher offense than WVU, so I'm gonna go with Oklahoma big.

First off, let me say that I am biased because I am a die hard WVU fan since '85. That being said I will try to give an educated answer instead of a FAN answer because I think it will really come down to a couple of things:

If WVU's defense completely shuts down OUs offense (possible. Really think about the competition this year OU's offense has had to face DEFENSIVELY...not much) and then WVU's offense gets past OU's defense...wow, it will be a slaughter for WVU 35-14.

If OU's defense completely shuts down OU's offense (possilble. WVU really screwed up against Pitt in the Backyard Brawl and the turnovers against USF were terrible) Then OU's offense gets past WVU's defense...wow, it will be a slaughter for OU 42-10.

If both teams' defenses shut down the other teams' offenses, I give the edge to OU with a OU victory of 10-9.

If both teams' offenses roll all over the other teams' defenses, I give the edge to whomever has the ball last with a score of 42-35.

Looking at the above information I would say that OU has a slight edge, but as a WVU fan...I like that. WVU plays better when they are humbled and hungry. I think this will be a very good game and if my gut is right, WVU will pull off the upset. They just need to execute their assignments.

OH and for those of you who think WVU's offense is just Slaton and White....watch the tape again...you are missing a LOT. Seriously. It would be like saying that OU's offense is JUST Sam Bradford...that's just delusional.

Two very good teams and I will give the edge to Oklahoma in a high scoring tight game.

Oklahoma can win if they crowd the line of scrimmage and make WVU throw the footbal alot. Stoops is smarter than me and will figure that out and Oklahoma will win.

Oklahoma--I think WVU might be a tad unmotivated after blowing shot at National Title

My heart says the 'Neers but my brain says the Sooners. The "Backyard Brawl"said a lot of negative things about us and it will take a lot of effort and an injury-free Pat White to prove otherwise.
