First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Mine is on Sunday. Take the car. I have a funny feeling there will be some kind of celebration for you by someone. And if you take the car? Don't go to parties and drink and then drive OK? You may not see next years B-Day.
Take care.

Please tell me that this is just a joke. See the party is great. You get to have a ll your friends there. You eat like a pig and probably take 2 bazillion pictures. BUT, two years from now you have nothing to show for it. That is unless you get some really cool worth wild collectibles, or if your unlucky and something less enjoyable comes from the event. Now the car, that's different. You could get a fine tuned high end sports car or a POS. But in two years you'll still have it and will enjoy going out to movies and other events with friends(i.e. boy/girl friend). You may even have upgraded it alittle and even learned how to do work on it yourself. That means that your getting smarter and you have something to show for your efforts. BUT, yes there is a but. The car has a down side. You have to learn to respect the car(i.e. drive safely and take care of it). You have to buy fuel for your new found beast(and at nearly $3.00 a gallon you'll need a job). Also oil changes, car washes, tune ups, etc, etc. Yes the Car does win on one hand but loses in the wallet. And yes the party wins now but loses in the long term effect. So maybe there is no easy answer to this question. Me I choose the car. But I paid for it and that meant that I respected it more. Oh a nd I never had the party, but my friends enjoyed getting rides in my first car(it was a 1994 Porsche 911 and it was a demo model, had 8560 miles on when I got it). By the way I lost the car in 2001 in a divorce so maybe it doesn't really count anymore. Best of luck in your decision making. Drive on friend.....................................

CAR! The party will only last for a little while. And it has got to be one heck of a party to even out with a car. And you're not old enough to have a party like that yet.
