I am moving to the UK in a few months. 10 years ago, when I was young and stupid I got a felony drug conviction. Never been in trouble since. Will this show up on a UK background check or can I finally put my past to rest.

I suppose that would depend on what job you are trying to get and if the prospective employer thinks it's profitable or prudent to go the extra mile and do a thorough BC into your time in the US. So will, some won't.

I would think a background check is a background check.

My thoughts are yes it would otherwise everyone with a felony conviction would just leave the country.

It relies upon on the historic previous be confident. in the event that they're in basic terms searching for convictions, then no. It won't ensue. in the event that they're searching for arrests (an NCIC or Triple III be confident) then the criminal arrest will ensue.
