Also I start acting like my father when it comes to electricity use in the house.....telling my kids, "Turn off the TV!!" or "Why are these lights on?"

When I opened an envelope and pulled out an AARP card with my name on it. I just kept staring at it, almost in shock, wondering how the hell did this happen.

A friend wrote to my wife that being 76 isn't all bad, meaning she went on, that she felt better than she had anticipated as little as 5 yrs ago.
My defining moment was this September when I hit 76. I don't feel much different than at 56 except, every little joy is a little more appreciated, like getting out of the damn car after shopping all day, and listenng to the last gurgle as my wife slides off into sleep so I can switch the TV from that damn Star Dancing back to something like Lonesome Dove.
As far as getting older from here, I'm really looking forward to being 80.........RIGHTTTTTtttttttttttiiiiii////////,,,,,,,,,,..............!

Mine came the other day when we were deciding on whether to buy a MacIntosh notebook computer. My husband looked at me and asked if I really wanted to learn a whole new system. I had to think about it for a while, and the thought of these "newfangled" gadgets actually scared me for a little bit. That's when I knew that I was starting to get old. To battle that feeling, I got the MacIntosh. LOL

The term 'old' is not a question of age but of how one feels. I know some people in their mid fifties who act and appear to be ancient in respect to the way they think and feel, and on the other hand I also know people in ther early seventies who are younger in spirit and thought and are physically active more than the those in the mid fifties.

So, I am not getting, I am getting younger!!

My bra size has not changed in the past forty years!!!

That first tiny, tiny wrinkle above my upper lip.
It was awful. I am almost 66. I hope that counts. Didn't get the wrinkle until I was 45.

I am so lucky though, because so far I have no wrinkle in my forehead. Just around my mouth. Yuk.
