for example, he wants to give illegal immigrants amnesty and is an advocate of second chances, which sounds to me like he feels sorry for people and does not want to put his foot down because of how he may be percieved. And it is easy to see why. Like a lot of people have said, Obama is very young and has a lot less experience than many of the other candidates. And while I do agree with him on many of the issues, the fact is that if he is going to be running the country then he has to know what he is doing and cannot act in lieu of his juvenile emotions. Doing so would only put this country further in jeaopardy and serve to prove his critics right. Does anyone else get this feeling about Obama? Like do you just feel that he may be too soft/forgiving to run this country unbiased if he was president?

The man has worked his way up from local politics, to state legislature, the U.S. Senate, and now a Presidential bid. What do you believe he'd learn in a second Senate Term that he hasn't picked up in this one?

Let's not paint him like a teenager. If you've got a problem with his policies, just say so.

No, I don't get that feeling at all. He is not THAT young, for one thing. He's 41!! He is only a couple of years younger than JFK, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush were when they were elected President. The age argument for Obama is a joke. He has MORE practical experience than Bush did, and a more successful record. So I don't see where his age is relevant. Factor in the fact that our government is stale, corrupt, and dysfunctional and it seems obvious we need new and fresh ideas in the White House. That pretty much eliminates everyone else who is running. So I welcome the chance to get someone new. What you call "soft" is what I call thoughtful and reasonable. The illegal immigrant issue is a great example. Everyone wants them gone, but not a single person has come up with a reasonable and affordable way to get rid of them. At least one candidate is smart enough to see that there is no way to accomplish this without flushing our already unstable economy down the toilet. Barack Obama gets my vote right now.

With his youth comes some petulance but also a wide variety of new views that surely would bring Washington DC into THIS century. I'd prefer that to the OLD BOY system of Codgers in power now!

I AGREE HE IS TO GREEN FOR SUCH POWER. I ALSO FEEL OPRAH SHOULD STAY OUT OF POLITICS, WHEN SHE SPEAKS TO CROWDS WHO IS SHE REALLY TRYING TO REACH? I DO NOT FEEL SHE IS SPEAKING TO ALL AMERICANS ONLY BLACK AMERICANS IN GENERAL.OBAMA WOULD BE ALMOST A NOBODY WITHOUT HER VOICE BEHIND HIM. ALL CANIDATES SHOULD BE ABLE TO HOLD THEIR OWN WITHOUT RICH AND FAMOUS PEOPLE STICKING THEIR NOSES IN IT.THIS COUNTRY WILL NEED A STRONG AND POWERFUL PRESIDENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD IF WE WISH WISH TO REMAIN A FREE COUNTRY WITH NO FEAR OF OTHER HOSTILE NATIONS.
