we came to know yesterday that my wife is pregnant. Tomorrow is our anniversary and with holiday season, what do you think will be a good gift idea for me to give her. Btw, I'm still in happy shock that i don't think the feeling has sunk in yet. But i'm starting to get more and more ecstatic.

Thanks all. She is a teacher and a book sounds like a perfect gift for her. Good ideas! I'm so excited.

well If I was your wife I would have loved to go on a shopping spree when i was pregnant with my first child because we woman just go crazy with the OMG LOOK AT THESES OR OMG CAN U PICTURE THIS CRIB and so on and so on. or to get something that I would be able to use like a spa certificate because we go through alot and sometimes we need a little something. Hopefully this helps a little good luck and be creative.

From a guys perspective and I've gone though this twice, this is what I'd do......you're generous that you want to give her something now, but also expect to give something as well after she goes though delivery and labor. I made the mistake of not doing that. I heard about it and had to make up for it later. I agree jewelry is a good idea. What I'd do is give her a necklace now, and after she has the baby, give her a pendant that symbolizes your child, such as a diamond or birth stone. If you're planning on having more than one child, make it a piece that you would be able to build onto down the road.
Also, feel free to give yourself the gift of a nice bottle of wiskey or something....

OMG Congratulations, you sound too cute and I see she's very lucky to have such caring husband. Ok, I also found out I was pg days before our anniversary and he got me a jewel, a pendant actually, heart shaped and a mom is holding a child with a diamond ( a little one, we are not millionaires) in the middle, in a gold chain. I guess my advice is give her a piece of jewelry that symbolizes your union, or your baby. A lady always melts for a jewel....

Get her something that she can enjoy and use while being pregnant because it is going to be a long 9 months! maybe a body or feet massager ?? or anything that will let her just relax and feel comfortable! she will greatly appriaciate it! and invest in a body pillow later on she will love it!!!! congrats!!!!

Congratulations!!!
You could buy her a baby book - or pregnancy journal.
Make sure you're right there with her filling it out :)
She'll love recording her precious pregnancy memories - and when your child is older, they love to read about it too!
