Names of characters that should be a cinch to figure out: Chillingworth (also called by another appropriate nickname, which is even the title of a chapter); Pearl; Dimmesdale. Pearl is explained in the chapter on her. I think it's 6.

Reflections: Hester in the Governor's home; in the woods

Hidden v. open sin: Aw, c'mon! Whose sin is out in the open? Whose sins are hidden? Re-read ch. 5, "Hester At Her Needle."

Wilderness v. Civilization:
Wilderness refers to the native Indians who live near the settlement, the forest, and the rosebush. Lots of important things, including conversations, happen in the forest. Rumor has it that certain type of people regularly meet in the forest. Hint: the Black Man = devil.
Civilization refers to the Puritan's settlement, it's laws and system of justice, its people, the scaffold -- everything about it.
A comparison of wilderness v. civilization is set up for you in the 1 1/2-page chapter 1. Another hint: Where does Hester live after she leaves prison?
