I taught myself by watching the guys who thought girls couldn't do it, then practiced till I was bruised & watched their jaws drop when I could work a half pipe better than they could. Go to a skate park after you learn how to stay on the board by yourself so you can have some pride. Many communities offer actual classes so check out your community to see if one is available. In the Tony Hawk machine of merchandising, he has to have come up with a how to video by now so maybe check out his website. Hope this helps & don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do it (unless it's your parent & you'll be in trouble) because you can as long as you practice & realize it will definitely hurt at some point. It was pretty awesome when my son started skating, brought home a friends extra board to practice with & his mom could skate! He was awed & it gave us a way to hang out. Look at learning as a potential investment in the future.

First, you need to ask the correct question. "Please answer this" is too vague, and will be ignored by most people. The better question would have been, "How can I learn to skateboard?"
Second, search the net for the words "how to skateboard" with or without the quotes.
Those are my tips. Have fun!

basicaly to start you jus have to go out and try it but be a ware it can become very painfull at time so if you dont like gettin hurt i wouldnt advise it but since you seem like you want to start the best thing i can say is to jus go to a skateshop and buy a complete board it doesnt have to be the best thing but a good one you can ask the people working there for some advise on what kind of board and stuff to get i personally ride mainly atm boards venture trucks spitfire wheels and bones swiss bearings this hole set-up will cost you about 130 dollars(the bearing are a bit expensive) and then jus go to an empty parking lot of a skatepark and try jus moving around untill you get the feel for your board then try doing tricks like an ollie and manuals jus some simple tricks and once you become confortable with those tricks you can move on but the best thing i can say is dont overthink things because you will get scared and just go and try things and it will be fun.

Go to a skateboard park ,watch, and then ask lots of questions, and then gets lots of practice setting in a waiting line at your local outpatients dept. of your closest hospital.
